Flourish

At St Andrew’s & Townfield Church, we have teamed up with St Andrew’s CE Primary School to create Flourish— a worshipping community for families connected to the school. Part of an exciting national project, Flourish places young voices at the heart of everything we do. Our Flourish Young Leaders are children from the school, from Years 4–6, who help plan and lead each event.

Once a month, we gather for our Flourish eventswhere the school community can come together to have fun, connect, and explore faith. As families arrive, there’s a welcome activity and refreshments to enjoy. Each session is jam-packed with games, crafts, interactive activities, prayer stations, and worship. The aim is simple—to help the whole family, from youngest to oldest, explore faith together in a welcoming, relaxed environment.

Flourish is shaped by five key principles:

  1. Young Voices
  2. Explore Faith
  3. Work Together
  4. Welcome Community
  5. Worship Always

Events take place mostly on the 2nd Friday of each month (avoiding school holidays) from 3:30–5:00pm in the school hall at St Andrew’s CE Primary School. Families should arrive through the school entrance, and all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

It’s completely free to come along and if you’re a family friend, parent, carer, grandparent, or other relative of a child at St Andrew’s CE Primary School, we’d love for you to join them and be part of the fun!
