“Do not be anxious…”

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4.6-7)

These feel like really important words at the moment. They’re an encouragement that we don’t need to be anxious, because of the promise that we’re praying to a God who is real, and is with us, which means that Jesus can give us peace even in situations when peace seems to make no sense.

If you’d like to think more about these verses, you might like to revisit our service from 16th June 2019 here.
